Finally! Gowalla brings a native Android app for its location sharing service. It is still in Beta, has a few kinks and not available in the Market but you can download it by clicking on the following link FROM YOUR ANDROID DEVICE: http://wal.la/links/androidbeta. In order for it to work you must allow install non-Market apps from your Application Settings menu (Settings>Applications). So far I have adopted Foursquare because it was the first to bring an Android app but Gowalla has nicer graphics and an interesting gameplay where you collect “items” everywhere you check in. I used to try Gowalla’s mobile web page that was available for Android at m.gowalla.com but it wasn’t good at all. Finally we are starting to see new and interesting services and apps come to the Android ecosystem.
